Role Overview
The role will offer the right candidate a great career opportunity to work within a busy and growing team. The successful candidate will work for multiple partners on a variety of commercial projects to help provide a wide breadth of experience and an opportunity to develop specialisms of interest. All team members have the opportunity of direct contact with clients, other professionals and local authorities, to provide exceptional career development.
Responsibilities
- Working with Partners, Senior Associates and Associates to help develop planning strategies, prepare programmes and contribute into external project teams;
- Drafting and reviewing reports, co‑ordinating the preparation and submission of planning applications / appeals / representations / other forms of correspondence and output;
- Providing planning advice to clients and involvement in internal and external meetings (e.g. project team and LPA);
- Helping to prepare fee proposals, inputting into new bid documents or presentations;
- Contributing to the development and training of new graduate and apprentice roles within the team;
- Input into team practices (including integration of AI and new working tools) and thought leadership as part of a comprehensive approach to continued professional development.
Qualifications
- Commercially minded planner with a clear focus on client service delivery;
- Some experience in retail policy assessments preferred for some of the roles;
- RTPI and / or RICS (P&D) qualified;
- A team player who enjoys working collaboratively within teams and across departments;
- Strong analytical skills to provide an evidenced based approach to problem solving;
- A good communicator, both written and verbal.
