Responsibilities

  • To support the partners in the housing and land planning team.
  • To contribute to the growth of the housing and land planning team.
  • To take initiative to resolve project and internal matters that arise.
  • To be responsible for one’s own and junior colleague’s performance, managing and delegating effectively.
  • To keep abreast of market and professional information to identify profitable business opportunities.
  • To work collaboratively with other parts of the business and explore business opportunities.
  • To nurture existing client relationships to win repeat business independently or as part of a team.

Main Duties, Responsibilities, Accountabilities

  • Reporting to Head of Housing and Land:
  • Providing direct client advice and managing junior staff to prepare advice to clients.
  • Developing planning strategies, preparing programmes and reviewing information.
  • Drafting or reviewing reports, co-ordinating the preparation and submission of planning applications/appeals/representations.
  • Identifying new business opportunities, assisting in firm-wide business development and preparing fee proposals.
  • Developing individual client base.
  • Providing planning advice to clients and attending meetings.
  • Assisting in the development and training of staff, including mentoring junior staff.
  • Responsible for maintaining continuing professional development for self and junior colleagues.
  • Any additional duties as reasonably requested.

  • RTPI Qualified.
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Team Player who enjoys working collaboratively across Teams and Departments.
  • High service delivery skills.
  • An independent thinker.
  • Previous experience of working across England preferably with experience in delivering residential led projects.
