Responsibilities
- To support the partners in the housing and land planning team.
- To contribute to the growth of the housing and land planning team.
- To take initiative to resolve project and internal matters that arise.
- To be responsible for one’s own and junior colleague’s performance, managing and delegating effectively.
- To keep abreast of market and professional information to identify profitable business opportunities.
- To work collaboratively with other parts of the business and explore business opportunities.
- To nurture existing client relationships to win repeat business independently or as part of a team.
Main Duties, Responsibilities, Accountabilities
- Reporting to Head of Housing and Land:
- Providing direct client advice and managing junior staff to prepare advice to clients.
- Developing planning strategies, preparing programmes and reviewing information.
- Drafting or reviewing reports, co-ordinating the preparation and submission of planning applications/appeals/representations.
- Identifying new business opportunities, assisting in firm-wide business development and preparing fee proposals.
- Developing individual client base.
- Providing planning advice to clients and attending meetings.
- Assisting in the development and training of staff, including mentoring junior staff.
- Responsible for maintaining continuing professional development for self and junior colleagues.
- Any additional duties as reasonably requested.

- RTPI Qualified.
- Excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
- Team Player who enjoys working collaboratively across Teams and Departments.
