Overview
Montagu Evans is a UK property consultancy that helps clients unlock value from complexity, because that’s where the most meaningful opportunities live. Our purpose is to bring clarity, creativity, and conviction to the complex. We are experts who collaborate to create value, not just preserve it and our team is built for impact, not oversight. We specialise in high‑value, complex assets across the property lifecycle, where political, technical or commercial challenges demand a joined‑up approach.
THE TEAM
We are seeking to recruit an IT L&D Lead who will focus on optimising our use of the Microsoft stack/licencing that is already in place as well as learning about key business applications to provide high level training and knowledge transfer as well as management of the software providers. The Technology & Data team currently consists of five Montagu Evans staff, two onsite staff placed by our IT Managed Service partner and one onsite member seconded in from our Data insights/visualisation partner. The team supports all colleagues within Montagu Evans. The team is led by the Director of Technology & Data and the role will be one of six direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver training programs for core Microsoft 365 tools (e.g. Copilot, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Forms, Viva), ensuring employees maximise these technologies.
- Support the rollout of new technologies (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, Azure services) and assist with upgrades to existing systems, including testing and end‑user training.
- Manage training for key business applications (e.g. NetSuite, Qlik Sense, Edozo, Landstack) by coordinating vendor‑led sessions, developing in‑house training with subject matter experts, and channelling user feedback to the software providers.
- Oversee mobile app management via the firm’s mobile device/app management platform (MDM/MAM), working with our IT service partner to ensure deployed apps are fit for purpose and that colleagues understand their benefits.
- Lead and continuously improve the IT induction programme for new starters and the mandatory InfoSec training curriculum (delivered via the Learning Management System), blending in‑person and online modules for maximum engagement.
- Promote knowledge‑sharing and a positive team culture within the Technology & Data team – act as a go‑to resource for colleagues and champion best practices.
- Track and report on training impact, preparing concise reports for senior stakeholders to demonstrate value (e.g. adoption rates, satisfaction scores) and to inform ongoing improvements.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to engage and educate – builds strong relationships, works collaboratively in a team, and communicates effectively at all levels, including with senior executives and external partners.
- Adaptability and organisation – comfortable with fast‑paced, changing technology environments; able to multi‑task and prioritise work independently to meet deadlines.
- Customer‑focused attitude – approachable, responsive, and committed to excellent service for internal “clients.”
- Self‑driven and curious – resourceful, with a strong work ethic and hunger to continuously learn and improve.
- Relevant sector experience – exposure to the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) industry or professional services environment is a plus, aiding understanding of our business context.
- Track record of impact – history of driving user adoption, process improvements, or efficiency gains through training initiatives.
- Technical proficiency – strong IT skills, especially in Microsoft 365; current Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) status is required.
- Education – good numeracy and literacy (Maths and English); a relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
- Flexibility – willingness to occasionally adjust working hours for training or deployment needs outside the normal schedule.
