Responsibilities
- Working with Partners and independently to help develop planning strategies, prepare programmes and lead external project teams;
- Drafting and reviewing reports, co‑ordinating the preparation and submission of planning applications/appeals/representations;
- Providing planning advice to clients and leading internal and external meetings (e.g. project team and LPA);
- Contributing towards client development and growth by building individual and the team profile in target sectors both internally and externally.
- Setting effective fees and overseeing budgets to help maintain profitability of projects.
- Contributing to the development and training of planners and senior planners within the team.
- Input into team practices (including integration of AI and new working tools) and thought leadership as part of a comprehensive approach to continued professional development.
Qualifications
- Commercially minded planner with a clear focus on client service delivery.
- Some experience in retail policy assessments preferred.
- RTPI and/or RICS (P&D) qualified;
- A team player who enjoys working collaboratively within and across departments;
- Strong analytical skills to provide an evidence‑based approach to problem solving;
- A good communicator, both written and verbal.
