Part-time Cleaner in Weybridge, Surrey, KT13, £14 to £16 per hour

Weybridge Part-Time No working from home possible

If you've ever waited at the green-and-white security barrier on the way into St George's Hill, you know the rhythm of cleaning work in Weybridge is shaped by gates, gravel drives and ANPR cameras. Most of our top-end rounds sit on the private estate north of the golf course; the rest are spread between Oatlands, Brooklands and the older roads near Monument Hill. KT13 is small on the map and surprisingly varied on the ground.

We're hiring a part-time domestic cleaner in Weybridge at £14-£16 per hour, paid weekly by bank transfer, for regular fortnightly rounds across KT13.

That's the answer to the question every cleaner asks first. Below is the texture: where the work is, what the day looks like, and a few honest notes about working a borough where some of the houses are bigger than the average primary school.

Where the rounds sit

St George's Hill is the headline. The 964-acre private estate was laid out by builder W.G. Tarrant in 1911 and now runs to about 450 properties behind a 24-hour gated entrance, with security in white vans patrolling the avenues. We have a steady book of regulars on East Road, Cavendish Road and the Old Avenue side of the estate. You'll be cleared in advance, given a fob or pre-registered against the ANPR plates of whichever car we book you in, and a guard will walk you to the door on the first visit. After that, it's a normal cleaning job in a very large house.

Off the estate, the rota mixes Edwardian villas around Queens Road and Monument Green, 1930s semis in Oatlands Park, modern flats on the Brooklands development behind the museum, and riverside flats around the Wey Navigation between Thames Lock and Coxes Lock. End-of-tenancy bookings come in via the letting agents on Queens Road and Oatlands Drive; APW Property at 134 Oatlands Drive sends us a couple a month, and Curchods on Queens Road push us flat handovers in the autumn term.

What we pay

£14 an hour is the floor for new starters with proven domestic experience. £16 is the rate once you're a year in, on the gated rounds, and clients ask for you by name. The top of the band is partly because the houses on the Hill are large and the work is exacting, partly because rates in Weybridge are higher than the wider Surrey median (Daily Poppins charge clients £22, Cleanhome about the same; we sit above what most of those agencies pass through to the cleaner).

Weekly. Bank transfer, every Friday. We don't pay monthly because monthly is awful when you're new.

Travel is paid between back-to-back jobs. HMRC mileage if you drive.

What the day looks like

A typical Tuesday: 8.30am at a four-bed in Oatlands, lunch break in the car or at the Café on the Green, 1.30pm at a regular on the Hill (security clears you at the gate, three minutes), home by half five. Some Wednesdays we'll do an end-of-tenancy near the station instead; those run longer because the larger houses by Brooklands often have outbuildings and conservatories the inventory clerk wants spotless.

Brooklands matters because the museum runs major events that close access roads on weekends. The 100th anniversary of the British Grand Prix lands on Saturday 8 August 2026 with around 100 historic Grand Prix cars on the original 1907 banking, and that whole stretch of Brooklands Road grinds to a halt from early morning. We avoid booking that day and a couple of others in the calendar; we'll flag them on the rota.

Who this suits

You'll have cleaned before, properly. Either through an agency or steady private work for a year or more. Houses on the Hill expect a level of finish that rules out anyone learning on the job, and we're not training from scratch this round.

You'll be calm about being pre-registered, photographed at a barrier and accompanied on a first visit. Some cleaners find that intrusive. If you do, the gated rounds aren't for you, and we'll keep you on the village-and-station rota instead.

You'll text the night before if anything needs to move. Not the morning of.

Driving helps but isn't required. Weybridge station puts you 32 minutes from Waterloo on the fast service and is walkable from a fair chunk of Oatlands and the town centre. The 461 and 514 buses cover most of what isn't walkable from the station. The Hill itself is a steep and silent walk uphill from any bus stop, so a bicycle or a lift from the gate is the usual answer for non-drivers.

You can also have a look at our Cobham cleaning rounds along the A245 if Weybridge slots are full when you read this.
