Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for own product ranges, planning and preparing sales and stock plans in conjunction with buying teams.
  • Liaising with buyers, DC, Channel Merchandising team, stores and suppliers.
  • Forecasting profit and sales, optimising sales volume and profitability.
  • Updating WSSI and re-forecasting sales for relevant product areas to monitor OTB, terminal stock levels and promotions.
  • Managing End of Season and Mid Season sale strategy and execution in line with trading conditions and business objectives.
  • Presenting sign-offs and Monday Trade to senior management for own departments.
  • Controlling stock levels across webs, concessions and store portfolio based on forecasts for the season.
  • Analysing bestsellers.
  • Monitoring slow sellers and taking action to reduce prices or set promotions as necessary.
  • Analysing the previous season's sales and reporting on the current season's lines.
  • Training and developing MAA.
  • Identifying production and supply difficulties and dealing with any problems or delays as they arise.
  • Supporting the Merchandiser to ensure company and department information is communicated effectively to the team through weekly meetings.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in merchandising.
  • Strong analytical and advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to identify key trends and emerging opportunities in line with customer profile.
  • Experience managing a team and presenting sign-offs.
  • Confident and articulate communicator, with an ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Ability to deliver to tight timescales and work under pressure.
