Responsibilities
- Responsibility for own product ranges, planning and preparing sales and stock plans in conjunction with buying teams.
- Liaising with buyers, DC, Channel Merchandising team, stores and suppliers.
- Forecasting profit and sales, optimising sales volume and profitability.
- Updating WSSI and re-forecasting sales for relevant product areas to monitor OTB, terminal stock levels and promotions.
- Managing End of Season and Mid Season sale strategy and execution in line with trading conditions and business objectives.
- Presenting sign-offs and Monday Trade to senior management for own departments.
- Controlling stock levels across webs, concessions and store portfolio based on forecasts for the season.
- Analysing bestsellers.
- Monitoring slow sellers and taking action to reduce prices or set promotions as necessary.
- Analysing the previous season's sales and reporting on the current season's lines.
- Training and developing MAA.
- Identifying production and supply difficulties and dealing with any problems or delays as they arise.
- Supporting the Merchandiser to ensure company and department information is communicated effectively to the team through weekly meetings.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in merchandising.
- Strong analytical and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to identify key trends and emerging opportunities in line with customer profile.
- Experience managing a team and presenting sign-offs.
- Confident and articulate communicator, with an ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.
- Ability to deliver to tight timescales and work under pressure.
