What will you do as a Junior Designer?
- Trend research including catwalks, print, graphics, newshapesand fabrics
- Identifyand present key trends for the season by month with key shapes,fabrics, colourand graphic direction
- Deliver trends from research to delivery to the customer
- Assistin planning and deliver to Critical time path for your department
- Effectively communicating with team and suppliers to deliver on time
- Proactivelyrespondto changing needs of the business and theday to daychallenges to ensure delivery of the product ranges to the customer
- Demonstrate a flexible, can do-do approach and use own initiative in every aspect of your job
- Creation of sketches, design briefs & tech packson a monthly basisto CTP and execute with the suppliers
- Digital production of embroideries, appliqués,motifsand graphics
Whatyou willneed to succeed as a Junior Designer?
- At least 1-2 years’ experience working as a Junior Designer in a fashion retail brand.
- Fashion related degree
- Good understanding of the childrenswear market, trends and what is commercially successful in the current market
- Have an excellent eye for detail andcolour
- Good understanding of garment construction and fabrics is key
- Must be able to work at a fast pace to deliver tight deadlines
- Must be able to work independently as well as working with all teams across Childrenswear
- Experience working with an Indian supplier base is essential
- Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, AdobePhotoshopandIllustrator) with an emphasis on attention to detail and accuracy
