We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join our London-based planning team, supporting the delivery of large-scale, complex programmes across the UK and internationally. This role sits within a high-performing consultancy environment, working alongside clients, contractors, and delivery partners on high-profile developments.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, managing, and assuring integrated project schedules, providing expert planning insight across all stages of the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and control detailed project programmes using Primavera P6
  • Produce baseline, target, and live schedules aligned with project objectives
  • Carry out critical path analysis, progress updates, and programme forecasting
  • Identify risks, constraints, and opportunities within project schedules
  • Support change control, impact assessments, and mitigation planning
  • Interface with clients, project managers, engineers, and commercial teams
  • Prepare planning reports and schedule narratives for senior stakeholders
  • Contribute to programme assurance, governance, and best-practice planning processes
  • Mentor junior planners where required

Qualifications

  • Experience working on large, complex projects or programmes
  • Strong understanding of project controls, planning methodologies, and reporting
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholder interfaces
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Comfortable working in a consultancy or client-facing environment
  • Background in major infrastructure, construction, or large-scale development projects
  • Familiarity with NEC or similar contract environments
