Senior MEP Planner β North West OR Yorkshire
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior MEP Planner to join a leading contractor, supporting the delivery of major projects across the North West or Yorkshire.
The role will involve working across a diverse portfolio of Commercial, Ministry of Justice (MoJ) and Ministry of Defence (MoD) projects, providing senior planning support across complex MEP packages and working closely with project teams and specialist subcontractors.
The position will primarily be regionally based, either in Yorkshire or North West, whichever suits your location better, with monthly visits to the West Yorkshire office required.
The Role
- Take responsibility for MEP planning across one or multiple projects and workstreams.
- Develop robust, achievable and fully integrated programmes.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Design, Commercial teams and specialist subcontractors.
- Manage complex MEP interfaces and provide programme analysis and support.
- Ensure MEP activities are effectively integrated into the wider construction programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed MEP programmes using ASTA Powerproject.
- Integrate Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health activities into the overall project programme.
- Monitor progress, risks, delays and opportunities.
- Carry out programme updates, critical path analysis and look-ahead programmes.
- Coordinate programme information from specialist MEP subcontractors.
- Support progress meetings, reporting and stakeholder reviews.
- Develop mitigation and recovery programmes where required.
- Manage interfaces across MEP, construction, design, procurement and commissioning.
- Provide clear programme information and advice to the wider project team.
About You
- Previous experience as an MEP Planner or Senior MEP Planner with a main contractor or specialist M&E contractor.
- Strong experience planning Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health packages.
- Strong working knowledge of ASTA Powerproject is essential.
- Good understanding of MEP sequencing, construction methodology and programme management.
- Experience working with specialist subcontractors on complex projects.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience across technically complex projects would be highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently while operating effectively as part of a wider project team.
