A leading UK Project Management Consultancy in the Construction industry, has a new opening for a Project Risk Manager. The role is hybrid, based out of London & South East UK, and pays up to £75,000 + benefits.

About the Role

A respected international consultancy is seeking a skilled Risk Manager to lead the risk management function on a high-value construction programme. This role is essential to ensuring that strategic, commercial, and delivery risks are effectively identified, analysed, and mitigated throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance the programme’s RAID Register for real-time risk tracking
  • Deliver Quantitative Schedule and Cost Risk Analysis (QSRA/QCRA) using Monte Carlo simulations
  • Facilitate risk workshops, scenario planning, and mitigation reviews
  • Embed risk practices across integrated project teams and supply chains
  • Align risk with planning, cost, change control, and reporting functions
  • Advise on risk provisions in supplier tenders and monitor against project baselines
  • Support Integrated Baseline Reviews and assurance activities
  • Ensure compliance with public sector risk and contract guidance
  • Experience managing risk on large-scale construction programmes
  • Skilled in QSRA/QCRA using tools such as @Risk or Primavera Risk Analysis
  • Strong understanding of project controls (planning, cost, change)
  • Familiarity with NEC contracts and public sector governance frameworks
  • Confident in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration

Desirable Qualifications

  • APM Risk Certificate, MoR, or equivalent
  • PRINCE2, P3M, or similar project management certification
  • Background in engineering or project controls with a risk focus
