We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join a growing Commercial team within the water and infrastructure sector. This is an excellent opportunity to work on major projects in a collaborative environment, with strong opportunities for career development and professional progression.

Reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects and work packages, supporting successful project delivery from inception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing quantity surveying duties across projects and work packages
  • Liaising with design, construction, and supply chain teams to monitor and control costs
  • Supporting collaborative working practices to ensure project and business requirements are achieved
  • Administering main contracts, including contractual notices and correspondence
  • Preparing and issuing subcontract documentation
  • Assisting with subcontractor management and performance monitoring
  • Managing applications for payment and supporting commercial reporting processes
  • Preparing project cost/value reports, budgets, and forecasts
  • Supporting and mentoring junior commercial team members
  • Maintaining continuous professional development and staying informed on industry developments
  • Building and maintaining positive working relationships internally and externally
  • Ensuring confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Requirements
  • Essential: Degree qualified or equivalent
  • Working towards or holding chartered membership of a recognised professional institution
  • Experience within utilities, civil engineering, or MEICA sectors
  • Strong NEC3/NEC4 contract experience
  • Desirable: Knowledge of CEMAR
  • Experience within the non-infrastructure water sector
