A Planning Manager is required for client side based project work, located in West London, hybrid, paying up to £85,000 + benefits.

About the Role:

Are you an experienced Senior Project Planner or Planning Manager with a passion for delivering complex infrastructure projects? Join a leading global consultancy working on high-value, multi-year programmes in the aviation sector. You’ll take ownership of planning activities from inception to completion, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to be based on-site at Heathrow Airport three days a week, with flexibility for remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed Civils programme plans across the full project lifecycle
  • Create strategic schedules to assess sequencing, responsibilities, and delivery strategies
  • Monitor progress and report on pre-construction and construction phases
  • Conduct delay analysis and manage compensation event assessments
  • Collaborate with project managers, cost consultants, designers, and contractors
  • Provide expert advice on delay mitigation and forensic planning
  • Prepare resource-loaded programmes to demonstrate inputs and outputs
  • Lead, coach, and mentor junior planning staff

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in construction project planning and schedule management
  • Strong background in Airside Aviation (Airfield / M&E) projects (or highways M&E)
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
  • Skilled in delay analysis, forensic planning, and contract programme evaluation
  • Previous experience managing small teams
