The Role
We are recruiting a Project Controls Engineer and Reporting Analyst to join a major UK infrastructure programme delivering critical long-term asset resilience. This is a high-impact role responsible for owning and transforming the digital reporting landscape, converting complex project data into automated, real-time Power BI dashboards. You will act as a key data conduit between Primavera P6 and the central PMO, driving the move away from manual spreadsheets towards a robust single source of truth for senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Primavera P6 Data Integration: Develop and manage automated extraction of scheduling data from Primavera P6 (XER, XML, SQL). Build efficient data pipelines into central reporting environments.
- Power BI Data Modelling & Architecture: Design and maintain scalable dimensional data models (star schemas). Integrate scheduling, cost, risk and progress datasets.
- Dashboard Development & Automation: Create advanced Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions. Deliver key Visual Insights: S-curves, Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics, Critical path and trend analysis.
- Advanced Data Transformation: Develop complex DAX measures. Use Power Query to clean and structure multi-source datasets.
- Data Quality & Governance: Implement validation checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Identify anomalies, gaps and reporting risks.
- Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement: Manage weekly and monthly automated reporting cycles. Ensure timely delivery of insights for executive-level decision making.
