We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior 4D Planner to join a Construction Main Contractor in the Reading area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in construction, engineering, or planning who is eager to build expertise in 4D planning - integrating programmes with 3D models to create visual, time-based simulations of project delivery.

As a Junior 4D Planner, you will support the development and coordination of 4D planning outputs, helping the team improve project understanding, communication, and delivery performance across major construction and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of 4D simulations and visual plans by linking project schedules with 3D models using software such as Synchro 4D or Navisworks.
  • Collaborate with planners, engineers, BIM teams, and project managers to collect and integrate data required for 4D planning.
  • Support in maintaining and updating 4D models in line with changes in design or schedule.
  • Produce high-quality 4D visualizations for internal planning reviews, client presentations, and project reporting.
  • Help identify potential planning or coordination issues using 4D tools and support solutions.
  • Document and maintain planning and modelling standards, ensuring data quality and consistency across the project lifecycle.
  • Stay up to date with developments in 4D planning, software tools, and digital construction techniques.
Essential:
  • A background in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or project planning.
  • Basic understanding of construction planning principles.
  • Familiarity with 3D modelling software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, or similar).
