An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cost Manager to join a major infrastructure programme supporting the delivery of large-scale civil and capital projects.

The role is hybrid, based in Greater Manchester and will pay up to Β£80,000 + benefits.

This role offers the chance to work within a Programme Management Office (PMO) environment, providing cost management, financial control, forecasting, and reporting across a portfolio of high-value projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring effective budget management and robust project controls throughout the programme lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost plans.

Monitor project expenditure and identify cost variances.

Produce accurate financial and performance reports for programme stakeholders.

Support change control processes and cost forecasting activities.

Ensure compliance with programme governance, reporting standards, and project controls frameworks.

Contribute to risk management and financial performance monitoring across multiple projects.

Essential Requirements Proven experience in Cost Management , Project Controls , or a similar commercial/project services role.

A background within infrastructure, engineering, utilities, construction, or capital delivery projects.

Demonstrable experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting, and financial analysis.

Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.

Desirable Experience Experience working on civil engineering projects.

Knowledge of project controls and planning systems such as: Primavera P6, Power BI, SAP, Oracle.

Relevant professional qualifications or memberships, such as: RICS, APM, ACost E.
