Job Type: Full‑time

Salary: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Sign‑on Bonus: $500, Retention Bonus: $1,500 (available)

Summary

Under the supervision of the Community Manager, the Maintenance Technician ensures the community’s physical condition meets safety, appearance, and operational standards within the budgeted financial goal. Responsibilities include maintaining the interior and exterior of the building, overseeing day‑to‑day operations, and managing external contractors and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, appliances, and exterior structure.
  • Conduct property and unit inspections.
  • Maintain property curb appeal and overall cleanliness.
  • Schedule and maintain the Make‑Ready Board.
  • Purchase materials and manage budgeting.
  • Ensure maintenance teams deliver safe, decent, and sanitary housing for all residents.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in apartment/multi‑family maintenance.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, speaking, writing).
  • Ability to pass a full background check.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of maintenance technician experience, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.
  • Experience in an affordable housing environment preferred.
  • Technical training and licensing preferred.
