Monroe Group is looking for a Community Manager to join our team! We are seeking a seasoned Community Manager who can manage a large Family affordable Project Based Section 8 (PBS8) community. Our ideal candidate enjoys mentoring and developing their team, has the personality to positively interact with applicants, residents, and teammates. They enjoy leading teams, like to work hard while having fun and are strong problem-solvers.
Our Ideal Candidate
- Has experience in working at a large Family Affordable Housing Apartment complex and shares our mission, vision, and values and our commitment to customer service.
- Is a dynamic leader, possessing the ability to motivate and lead teams, and is fully competent with all phases of financial and variance reporting.
- Has a strong background in PBS8, is marketing savvy and proficient in both MS Office (Word, Excel) and Property Management-related software.
- Enjoys serving our residents, supporting our team, and driving positive, consistent results.
Details
Our Community Managers are fully accountable and responsible for providing overall supervision of the community, overseeing and enhancing the value of the property, and ensuring the property team is positive and successful. Specific duties include:
- Leading and mentoring a dynamic team
- Developing and managing the budget
- Ensuring property is meeting KPI Goals for Occupancy, Collections, Compliance, Asset and Budget Management
- Submitting necessary weekly/monthly reporting
- Ensuring that site teams deliver Safe, Decent and Sanitary Housing to all residents
- Performing all other duties as assigned

Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (College Degree is preferred)
- Minimum of two (2) years as Community Manager
- Working Knowledge of OneSite or Yardi Software
- English language proficiency (read, speak, and write)
- The ability to pass a full background check
Additional Preferred Requirements for Affordable Housing properties
- Strong experience in affordable housing programs.
- Participated in Management and Occupancy reviews and UPCS/REAC Inspections.
- Experience with resident-occupied project renovations.
Additional Information
The work schedule is Monday-Friday (occasional weekends and evenings as needed). A valid driver’s license and vehicle is required. Employment with Monroe Group is contingent upon successful completion of background check.
Salary Description: $60,000-$65,000/year
