As a Principal Designer, you’ll be a key player in our in-house studio, bringing our brands (Via, Citymapper, Remix) and products to life through bold designs that touch people’s hearts & minds. This is a unique opportunity to bring fresh thinking to a business with a strong reputation. Under the direction of a new Global Creative Director, you’ll design the future of transportation and take the brand to the next level.
What You’ll Do
- You will design and deliver 360 campaigns across audiences: riders, commercial partners, investors, and internal teams.
- Typical projects include product launches, events packages, promotional campaigns, investor presentations, video storyboards, web pages and components, brand package for new transit services, social media templates, editorial design for whitepapers and more. Typical deliverables span digital, video and print.
- Develop thoughtful creative strategy that meets the brief, and deliver work that has an impact.
- Understand the impact of your work and refine based on in-market performance.
- Bring a systems approach to your work - design for scale.
Who You Are
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in designing and delivering top quality designs.
- Proven ability to lead and deliver high-stake, multi-touchpoint programs.
- Brand: You can create a brand from scratch, or inject new flavour in an existing brand.
- Interactive: You can design responsive landing pages and components.
- Business impact: You measure what can be, and drive for tangible impact.
- Mentor: Role model to more junior members of the team.
- Team player: Collaborative. Ability to work with other designers and other disciplines across the organisation.
- Growth mindset: Take feedback onboard and proactively push beyond your comfort zone to progress.
- Communication: Ability to present to C-level and advocate for design excellence.
- Comfortable owning workflows, turning ambiguity to clarity, juggling multiple priorities, and adapting on the fly.
- Unflappable under pressure: you stay calm, clear-headed, and focused when the stakes are high.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented: nothing slips through the cracks on your watch.
- Curious, proactive, and solution-oriented: you’re always two steps ahead.
- Expertise in Figma, Adobe suite, AI (generative tools).

Compensation and Benefits
Final salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills. Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year. We are proud to offer a generous and comprehensive benefits package, including free medical plans and 401K matching.
