The role Meldrum House is no ordinary place. Your role is to provide a warm, friendly and efficient service to our guests. Always ensuring the greatest service standards are delivered and exceed our guests' expectations. As the first and often the last point of contact for guests, you will be integral in the guest’s journey with us. In assisting in preparation of the hotel services and facilities for the next service you will play a vital role in supporting the guest journey and the hotel day team.

Main Purpose of Job

Meldrum House is no ordinary place. Your role is to provide a warm, friendly and efficient service to our guests. To provide security and always ensuring the greatest service standards are delivered at all times and exceed our guests' expectations.

Specific Tasks
  • Assist in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests
  • Deliver exceptional service to guests at all times
  • Look after hotel security and guest welfare at night
  • Conduct regular floor walks and security checks of fire exits and public areas
  • Reporting any irregularities to the management team
  • Assist in clearing down of, setting up and servicing event rooms
  • Prepare Room Service food and trays in line with food hygiene guidelines and hotel standards
  • Promptly acknowledge guests and answer calls
  • Keep the desk areas clean and well presented at all times and assist with cleaning and housekeeping duties of your department

About you As a crucial member of the team, you will have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail in order to provide consistent standards. This is a vital role in the function of the hotel and ultimately the service provided to our guests during their stay. You will love chatting to our guests offering help and assistance, you will be great at multi-tasking, you will be efficient at solving all guest enquiries and all with a smile and infectious personality!
