Are you looking for an opportunity to take ownership and lead the people function? We’re seeking a sole-charge generalist in a fast-paced, founder-led global business. This role could be part-time (80%) or full-time.

About the role: The recruitment and talent director is a varied role with the opportunity to really make your mark strategically and operationally. We have a number of exciting projects in the pipeline and this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

Reporting to the COO, you’ll be empowered and supported to take ownership across the full HR gamut. Recruitment and talent management are key areas of focus, ensuring that we identify, attract, retain and develop the best talent and continue to evolve and enhance our employer brand.

You’ll work closely with managers and employees throughout the employee lifecycle and across all teams and departments, developing capability, coaching and delivering a positive employee experience.

The role will suit candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a similar sole-charge generalist role or leading a recruitment and talent management function in a global context
  • Generalist human-resources expertise including performance management, learning and development, culture and engagement, remuneration and reward and ER, with a good grasp of UK employment law
  • Confidence to move swiftly between strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with a focus on delivering pragmatic and fit-for-purpose solutions and initiatives
  • Can navigate ambiguity, you know what good looks like and how to achieve it
  • Proven success in building excellent relationships at all levels of the organisation, allowing you to influence, coach and support in a range of situations
  • You’re diplomatic, demonstrate high levels of emotional intelligence and think commercially
  • Experience working in a founder-led and/or global organisation
