Konfekt is seeking an experienced associate editor to join our team.
About 'Konfekt': Konfekt is a quarterly title featuring fashion, art, travel, drinking and dining, design, architecture, craft and literature. Konfekt includes a radio podcast, digital newsletters and social-media channels. The title sits within the Monocle media brand, which has built a global reputation for its coverage of international affairs, design, travel, fashion and much more besides. About the role: The associate editor position is a rare opportunity to join our talented team. You will be responsible for pitching ideas, writing, reporting, editing and commissioning across all Konfekt touchpoints, with specific ownership of the digital output. The role demands excellent editorial judgement and commitment to producing work of the highest quality.
Alongside your editorial skills, the role demands a strong eye for design and fashion, the ability to work cross-functionally with art, photo and commercial teams, and a willingness to take on tasks such as product call-ins and photo shoots, as well as planning and producing social-media content.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Four to six years' experience working in a relevant editorial role
- A proven eye and passion for design and fashion
- The ability to work effectively across print, digital and audio to deliver exceptional quality
- Attention to detail, initiative and a proactive approach
- Work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- A positive attitude, with a confident communication style and be a true collaborator
