The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

We are looking for a highly skilled, motivated and values-driven professional to join our Inclusion Team. The Equity and Inclusion Lead is a pivotal strategic role, working in partnership with schools, settings and multi-agency colleagues to promote and embed inclusive, equitable and high-quality educational practices across Monmouthshire.

You will play a central role in shaping a coherent, consistent and preventative approach to understanding and managing behaviour, promoting wellbeing and inclusion, to ensure that all children and young people—particularly the most vulnerable—can access and succeed in education within their local community.

This is a unique opportunity to lead system-wide improvement, working closely with schools and partners to reduce exclusion, strengthen inclusive practice, and build capacity across the education system.

  • SALARY: Salary would be pro rata if not working full time hours or 52 weeks per year. i.e. 37 hours per week / 32.5 per week for School Teachers.
  • Location: County Hall (Rhadyr - Usk), NP15 1GA, United Kingdom. This may change in the future if the service location needs to relocate. Relocation or disturbance expenses will not be paid if this happens.
  • Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check: Appointment to this post is exempt from Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and is subject to the following DBS check: Enhanced with Children Barred List Check.
  • Welsh Language Assessment: Welsh language skills are desirable.
