An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Strategic Partnerships Team to join our team as a Community Safety Officer. The role is hours per week, supporting key target areas of work relating to crime & disorder and community safety across Monmouthshire.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Monmouthshire Community Safety Lead(s), partner agencies and the wider community to support crime & disorder and community safety initiatives.
- Ensure a joined‑up, well‑coordinated approach that reduces crime within local communities and supports citizen safety across the county.
Location: County Hall, Rhadyr, Usk, Monmouthshire, NP15 1GA, United Kingdom. The location may change if the service requires relocation; relocation or disturbance expenses will not be paid.
Salary: Salary is pro‑rata if not working full‑time hours or 52 weeks per year. For example, 37 hours per week is equivalent to 32.5 hours per week for school teachers.
Term Time Only: Details of weeks per year will be discussed with the successful applicant.
Background Checks: The appointment is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including both Children/Adults Barred List checks.
Welsh Language Skills: Welsh language skills are desirable.
Temporary End Date: 31/03/2027 (if applicable).
