We are looking to appoint a dedicated Health & Wellbeing and PE teacher who is committed to helping young people develop healthy lifestyles, positive relationships, and an enjoyment of physical activity. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high performing PE Department known for its ambition, strong team culture, and wide range of sporting and wellbeing experiences.

The successful candidate will contribute to a curriculum that promotes physical literacy, emotional wellbeing, and respectful relationships. You will deliver engaging, purposeful lessons that encourage participation and progress, while supporting pupils to understand how healthy choices influence their long-term physical and mental wellbeing.

Our Health & Wellbeing Faculty offers an extensive enrichment programme, providing pupils with opportunities to take part in competitive sport, leadership development, outdoor learning, and a wide range of memorable trips — including our popular ski trip and netball and rugby tours. You will play an active role in this provision, helping to design and lead activities that broaden pupils’ experiences, develop teamwork and resilience, and strengthen our culture of high expectations.

We are seeking someone who can work collaboratively, communicate clearly, and demonstrate a genuine commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of all learners. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who wants to make a meaningful difference and contribute to a department that continues to grow, innovate, and inspire.

Salary would be pro rata if not working full time hours or 52 weeks per year, i.e. 37 hours per week / 32.5 per week for School Teachers. Temporary End Date (if applicable): 31/08/2027. Location: Chepstow School, NP16 5LR, United Kingdom. This may change in the future if the service location needs to relocate. Relocation or disturbance expenses will not be paid if this happens. Term Time Only – Weeks per Year (if applicable).

Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check: Appointment to this post is exempt from Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and is subject to the following DBS check: Enhanced with Children Barred List Check. Welsh language skills are desirable.
