Monk’s Walk is a high‑performing, oversubscribed secondary school seeking to appoint a committed and proactive Cover Supervisor to join our Cover Team from September 2026 to help us continue raising standards across our curriculum. This is an ideal opportunity for a confident, organised individual who enjoys working with young people and is looking to gain valuable experience in a secondary school setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials in the absence of teaching staff
- Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Supporting pupils with their learning and encouraging high expectations
- Collaborating with teaching staff and the wider school team to ensure continuity of learning
We are looking for someone who:

Previous experience in a school setting or working with young people is desirable but not essential - full training and induction will be provided. This position is 32.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, term time only plus 5 INSET days.
