As an Events Account Director, you will work cross‑functionally with internal partners on marketing events to launch targeted experiential marketing campaigns for our clients. You will collaborate with clients and our internal creative teams to produce the best work possible, manage a team, allocate resources, and meet project deadlines. This is a 9‑month FTC position.
Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Events Director to drive event strategy and develop innovative events across customer segments and business verticals.
- Identify opportunities for new projects that add value as we expand in EMEA.
- Oversee end‑to‑end financial management of all owned projects and clients, feeding into business reporting and forecasting.
- Concept new event types based on client priority growth areas and customer needs.
- Craft the overall event experience for customers based on event type.
- Develop tactical plans to test, pilot, and measure event performance.
- Support the rollout, standardisation, and scaling of new event types across multiple markets through detailed playbooks and cross‑team collaboration.
- Provide end‑to‑end oversight for successful event execution, focusing on B2B product marketing events.
- Communicate regularly with senior management through updates, status reports, and progress of pilot events against benchmarks and goals.
- Manage relationships with clients and build broader program initiatives.
- Collect event‑related data to support post‑event evaluations and reporting.
- Participate with the extended team to share knowledge and experience.
- Mentor, manage, capacity plan, and grow a team of up to 6 direct line reports.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of increasing responsibility executing and managing event programs.
- 5+ years of experience managing and developing direct reports.
- Strategic mindset with experience developing event programs and piloting new concepts.
- Ability to adapt proven event tactics to new business verticals at scale.
- Self‑motivated team player with a proactive, action‑oriented approach.
- Strong industry knowledge and professional network.
- Highly responsive, attentive, and quick to react to urgent requests.
- Interpersonal skills; a people‑person who can build and maintain friendly relationships.
- Ability to remain calm under high‑pressure situations.
- Positive, "can‑do" attitude.
- Exceptional time‑management skills with the ability to re‑prioritise on‑the‑fly.
- Excellent project management skills with strong attention to detail and organisation.
- Skilled in project finances: scoring, managing, reconciling multiple project finances, and feeding into forecasting.
- Technical proficiency, particularly in Google G‑Suite (docs, slides, sheets).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Editorial, copywriting, and/or basic graphic‑design skills are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.
