Gymboree Play & Learn East Dulwich is a family play and learning centre supporting babies, young children, and their parents through high-quality, play-based developmental classes. We are a community-focused space built on warmth, inclusion, and meaningful early-years experiences, led by a small, passionate team at the heart of East Dulwich.
We’re looking for a warm, organised, people-focused leader to run a much-loved family play & learning centre in East Dulwich. This is a full-time leadership role at the heart of a local community perfect for someone who enjoys leading a small team, creating welcoming spaces for families, and balancing people with operations. This is not a traditional retail or classroom role. You’ll have autonomy, ownership, and the chance to make a real impact on families and young children.
As the Community & Operations Lead, you will be a visible and trusted presence in the centre, supporting staff, welcoming families, coordinating classes and activities, and ensuring the space runs safely, efficiently, and joyfully.
Key responsibilities include:- Overseeing daily operations and schedules
- Leading, supporting, and supervising team members
- Coordinating classes, events, and centre activities
- Building strong relationships with families and the local community
- Ensuring high standards of safety, care, and presentation
- Supporting enquiries, bookings, and overall centre performance
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, taking ownership, and being part of a meaningful, community-focused environment.
Salary: £26,000 - 30,000 (DOE)
Hours: Full-time
