Monkhouse Schoolwear Specialists, established in 1938, is one of the country’s largest multi-channel retailers of school uniforms and is part of Banner Ltd, the largest manufacturer of school uniforms.

To be successful in applying for the job you will need:

  • A minimum of 6 months of experience working within a warehouse and online dispatch facility.
  • Good numeracy skills.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills, with training provided on all warehouse management systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Adhere to and promote warehouse safety practices.
  • Effective communication skills.

Your day-to-day tasks will look like this:

  • Daily pick, pack, and dispatch online orders and deliver to stores.
  • Follow goods in processes.
  • Follow workplace health and safety rules when handling goods.
  • Adhere to operational procedures, rules, and schedules.
  • Assisting with warehouse inventory controls, which typically involves using a hand-held scanner.
  • Treating merchandise with care and concern at all times.
  • Working at height and transferring stock from one location to another.

What are my hours?

This is a 40 hours a week, working on a monthly rota system across Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm, with occasional support required on a Saturday. During our peak season (June to September), we require some flexibility to support additional hours depending on the business's needs.
