Monkfield Reptile are a well-established market leader in livefood, reptiles and reptile products serving the whole of the UK. Monkfield Reptile encompasses three market leading brands: Monkfield Nutrition, Arcadia Reptile and HabiStat.

We\’re looking for a creative, organised and highly capable Social Media Content Creator to help grow and evolve the digital presence of two leading brands in the reptile and exotic pet world: HabiStat and Arcadia Reptile.

You don\’t need to be a reptile expert, but you do need to be comfortable working around snakes, lizards, tarantulas, frogs and other exotic animals, and be excited to learn. .

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Developing and executing an innovative content calendar across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn and YouTube, aligned with the objectives of HabiStat and Arcadia Reptile, maximising engagement and reach.
• Capturing and editing short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts, etc.), both in the office, at events and on location.
• Managing the day-to-day operations of our social media accounts, including scheduling, posting and community interaction.
• Planning and executing both organic and paid social campaigns (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn), including audience targeting, budgeting, A/B testing and ongoing optimisation.
• Analysing organic and paid campaign performance, compiling clear monthly reports, and providing insights to improve future content and campaigns.
• Staying up to date with social media trends, platform updates and algorithm changes, and sharing recommendations with the wider team.
• Supporting the marketing team by integrating social media activities into broader campaigns, launches and communications plans.
• Representing the brands at key events across the UK, capturing live content and driving real-time engagement.

The ideal candidate will have the following Skills & Experience

• High-level video editing skills, especially for social-first content (short-form vertical video).
• Confident using Adobe software (e.g. Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) to edit video and rework artwork files.
• Comfortable around a range of animals, including snakes, lizards, tarantulas and frogs.
• Able to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a global team.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload around regular posting, launches and campaign deadlines.
• Confident adapting content to different platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn), understanding what works where and why.
• A solid understanding of social media algorithms and how to create content that performs.
• Able to compile monthly reports and interpret analytics in a clear, actionable way.
• Strong creative initiative – you bring ideas, not just execution.
• Good written English, with an eye for captions, hooks and on-brand tone of voice.
• Able to generate marketing ideas and concepts that support wider business goals.
• Comfortable with technology and happy to learn and adapt to new digital tools and platforms.

This is a hybrid role with at least 1 day/ as needed based at our offices in Bolney, West Sussex & to events and filming opportunities around the UK.
