Location: Monkey Puzzle Lightwater

Hours: Monday to Thursday 36 hours per week including a 1 hour unpaid lunch break

Starting from £22,880 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the nursery to grow and perform at a high standard, whilst ensuring that all legislation and EYFS frameworks are adhered to.
  • Create inspirational, creative, and effective learning environments in line with the needs of the children and the nursery.
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of children through a confident knowledge of safeguarding processes and procedures.
  • Implement the EYFS with a good understanding of child development.
  • Report any issues of concern to a senior team member or relevant services.
  • Work in partnership with parents and our partners to ensure our children thrive.
  • Show a positive attitude with children, parents, colleagues and visitors to maintain our happy nursery.

Ensure high levels of interaction with children in order to help extend their learning. Support children at mealtimes ensuring these provide a positive social experience for the children. Provide support for children who are transitioning to new settings. Help children with feeding, changing clothes, nappies, toileting etc.

Essentials:

  • GCSE grades 5-9/A-C
  • Full and relevant level 2 in Early Years
  • Able to ensure the safety and welfare of children through a confident knowledge of safeguarding processes and procedures.
  • Appropriate behaviour management.
  • Able to participate in child observations and assessments with a good understanding of child development.
