Salary: Starting from £13.50 per hour (dependent on qualification(s) and experience)

Shifts: 5pm - 7pm - Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the safety and welfare of children through a confident knowledge of safeguarding processes and procedures
  • Implementation of the EYFS with a good understanding of child development
  • Supporting all nursery staff to help us deliver outstanding childcare
  • Strong communication with both adults and children
  • Reporting issues of concern to a senior team member or relevant services
  • Partnership working with parents and our partners to ensure our children thrive
  • Positive attitude with children, parents, colleagues and visitors to maintain our happy nursery
  • Creativity and an inspirational attitude
  • Keeping the whole nursery environment clean and tidy, including hygiene of the children’s bathroom and nappy change areas throughout the day and the upkeep of laundry care
  • Supporting the wider team when necessary (mealtimes for example)
  • Ensuring all products used are stored safely and are suitable for use within a nursery
  • Uphold health and safety requirements at all times

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Essentials

  • Experience of working within the cleaning industry with an emphasis on cleanliness and hygiene
  • Experience of using cleaning products and equipment
  • Understanding of Health & Safety requirements
  • Good command of English, to ensure the well-being of the children
