Overview Monkey Puzzle Woodford are looking for a qualified (Level 2) Nursery Practitioner to join their team.
Responsibilities Support the nursery to grow and perform at a high standard, whilst ensuring that all legislation and EYFS frameworks are adhered to.
Create inspirational, creative, and effective learning environments in line with the needs of the children and the nursery.
Ensure the safety and welfare of children through a confident knowledge of safeguarding processes and procedures.
Implement the EYFS with a good understanding of child development.
Report any issues of concern to a senior team member or relevant services.
Work in partnership with parents and our partners to ensure our children thrive.
Show a positive attitude with children, parents, colleagues and visitors to maintain our happy nursery.
Provide high standards of care and education to meet the individual needs of the children.
Provide play-based learning opportunities for all children.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures and maintain positive working relationships with the team, parents and carers.
Know when to report issues of concern to a senior team member.
Maintain a positive attitude and creative ideas to inspire learning.
Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills with adults and children.
Plan effectively and stay well organised.
Show willingness to learn.
Ensure high levels of interaction with children to help extend their learning.
Support children at mealtimes to provide a positive social experience.
Provide support for children who are transitioning to new settings.
Help children with feeding, changing clothes, nappies, toileting, etc.
Qualifications Essentials GCSE - grades 5-9 / A-C
Full and relevant Level 2 in Early Years
Able to ensure the safety and welfare of children through a confident knowledge of safeguarding processes and procedures
Appropriate behaviour management
Able to participate in child observations and assessments with a good understanding of child development
Desirable (Great to haves) Food Hygiene Level 2
