Nursery Chef

We are looking for someone who is passionate and skilled at cooking as well as being passionate about children and their welfare As a new business we are growing fast and need someone excited for a new challenge to join our team

You will be working 40 hours per week in our catering style kitchen cooking for our beautiful little people. We offer a wide range of dishes to our children with your opinion and passions being taken into account along the way.

Responsibilities and Duties

You will be required:

• To follow the required menus of the company (however we welcome your touch into the nursery)
• To communicate any relevant information required to follow the food and drink policy and health and safety procedures with all members of staff
• To use the administration process appropriately to enable policies and procedures to be followed accurately
• To ensure the legal aspects of health and safety are followed in line with company\’s policies and procedures
• To undertake any relevant training, and when required, to train other members of the catering team
• To work within your given budget to ensure all children are catered for
• To follow the nursery policy in relation to all dietary requirements

Qualifications and Skills

You should:

• Be able to cater for up to 76 children with ease and confidence
• Have a genuine passion for children and cooking
• Strong and confident understanding towards allergens
• A catering qualification would be fantastic but not necessary. You will need a Food Hygiene Certificate and experience in working in a kitchen.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
