Key Responsibilities
- Team working, we are a lovely family feel nursery and we strive for happiness for our people
- Ensuring the safety and welfare of children through a confident knowledge of safeguarding processes and procedures
- Implementation of the EYFS with a good understanding of child development
- Supporting all nursery staff to help us deliver outstanding childcare
- Strong communication with both adults and children
- Reporting issues of concern to a senior team member or relevant services
- Partnership working with parents and our partners to ensure our children thrive
- Positive attitude with children, parents, colleagues and visitors to maintain our happy nursery
- Creativity and an inspirational attitude
- Keeping the whole nursery environment clean and tidy, including hygiene of the children's bathroom and nappy change areas throughout the day and the upkeep of laundry care
- Supporting the wider team when necessary (mealtimes for example)
- Ensuring all products used are stored safely and are suitable for use within a nursery
- Uphold health and safety requirements at all times
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essentials:
- Experience of working within the cleaning industry with an emphasis on cleanliness and hygiene
- Experience of using cleaning products and equipment
- Understanding of Health and Safety
It is necessary for the appropriate level of criminal record Disclosure and Barred check to be undertaken. All posts involving direct contact with children and vulnerable adults are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
