The Nursery Administrator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the nursery. This position supports the Nursery Manager and staff through effective administration, record-keeping, communication, and compliance with statutory and organisational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of children’s attendance, staff rotas, and medical/emergency contact details.
  • Manage nursery software systems (e.g., for invoicing, registers, child profiles).
  • Handle enrolment enquiries and maintain waiting lists.
  • Prepare reports and documentation for inspections, audits, or internal reviews.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Food and Hygiene Level 2 (desirable); previous experience in an administrative role (essential); First Aid (desirable); experience within an early years or education setting (desirable); knowledge of Ofsted and EYFS requirements (advantageous); DBS clearance required (or willingness to obtain); familiarity with childcare regulations and safeguarding procedures (desirable).
