Whether you are new to the care sector or have experience, working within a BCG care home can be incredibly fulfilling. As Assistant Chef, you will be part of a small kitchen team, serving delicious, well-balanced, and nutritious meals that our residents will love. Working closely with the Head Chef, and deputising in their absence, you'll provide high-quality food service to support residents, responding to their needs and contributing to their overall positive experience in the home. You will also help to ensure the Kitchen is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in line with EHO regulations.
About you: As an Assistant Chef at BCG, you will strive to deliver person-centred hospitality to the highest standards. While some experience in a kitchen environment is desirable, it is not essential. Ideally you should have an SVQ/ NVQ level 2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery, a basic Food Hygiene Certificate and a good understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points. Successful candidates are subject to satisfactory references and a PVG check and must be authorised to work in the UK.
