We are looking for an Engineering Manager who can inject first-class leadership, planning discipline, and people-management expertise into a growing, multi-disciplinary R&D team comprising hardware electronics, embedded firmware, and software test engineers. Our integrated R&D team supports both the Roksan and Monitor Audio brands, with electronics engineering primarily focused on Roksan’s stereo Hi-Fi systems and the development of electronics-based platforms within the Monitor Audio product range.
You’ll work alongside two peer managers — one leading firmware development and the other overseeing software testing — who are responsible for day-to-day technical execution. Your role will focus on technical coordination, team development, project ownership (acting as the single point of truth for stakeholders), and strategic resource planning. You should bring a strong background in electronics systems along with the leadership skills needed to build, motivate, and scale a high-performing team capable of delivering world-class audio products.
Education & Work Experience
- First-class degree or Master’s in Electronics Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or related STEM discipline
- At least 5 years in a senior or principal electronics role with proven team management experience (hiring, mentoring, performance management)
- Experience steering cross-functional project teams and presenting to senior stakeholders (TD/Exec)
- System-level architecture & hardware/software partitioning
- Digital and mixed-signal electronics design
- Project planning, including risk, schedule, and critical path support
- Inspirational leadership and team coaching
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field
- Experience building automated HIL or audio test systems
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative environment
- Mentor engineers and support professional development
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training
- Maintain project schedules and provide regular updates to the Technical Director and Project Management
- Balance workloads across electronics, firmware, and test teams; Oversee electronics architecture, schematic/PCB reviews, and design verification
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental standards
- Act as the primary liaison between Software and Test Managers
- Support broader R&D efforts in planning and risk management
- Drive root-cause analysis of field issues; Manage departmental budgets, test equipment, tools, training
- Promote the team’s achievements internally and help translate complex technology into compelling stories for Marketing and Sales assets
