We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior UX & Product Researcher to join our product team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in conducting and leading end-to-end Market research, providing actionable insights that shape product strategy and drive rapid market growth. You will play a critical role in helping us understand customer behaviours, pain points, and market trends, which will directly influence business and product decisions. We are a customer-focused company, which means your work will have immense influence on what we do so as to address our user and market needs.

  • Conduct User Research: Lead and execute qualitative and quantitative research across the full lifecycle (planning, conducting, analysing, and reporting) using methods such as ethnographic observation, interviews, surveys, contextual inquiry and concept testing, with a strong emphasis on understanding local users' needs and behaviours.
  • Market and Industry Research: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to provide relevant research and insights that align with market conditions.
  • Cross-team Collaboration: Act as primary point of contact for all team research needs - from generative projects to evaluative quick wins. Provide thoughtful guidance to product leaders, product managers, designers and marketers to turn vague business needs into actionable research questions. Use your research findings to guide and support the product roadmap and strategic decision-making.
  • Country-Specific Intelligence: Serve as the go-to expert on Nigerian user needs and UK market trends, ensuring that your insights help to localise the product for the specific needs of the African diaspora.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Experience: 6+ years of experience in market research with a focus on digital products, preferably in B2C fintechs.
  • Research Skills: Proficiency in end-to-end market research methods (qualitative and quantitative), and using research tools like UserTesting, UsabilityHub, UserZoom etc.
  • Data Interpretation: Strong ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make recommendations that drive business outcomes.
  • Market Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the African diaspora, including local consumer behaviours, cultural contexts, and regulatory environment.
  • Experience building user community: You’re expected to source users for conducting surveys and interviews. It’d be of great help if you have experience building, or are an active member of, the diaspora community.
