Where we need your help

The Regional Merchandising Assistant is the operational backbone of our regional planning team. You provide the administrative support required to keep our stock moving smoothly, our reporting accurate, and our store teams informed. This is a vital learning role for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual looking to build a career in retail merchandising.

What you’ll do

  • Reporting & Data Integrity
    • Trade Reporting: Assist in the daily/weekly generation of regional trade reports, ensuring data is pulled, formatted, and ready for the wider team to review.
    • Performance Tracking: Support the team by tracking product performance (style, category, channel) using established templates.
    • System Maintenance: Ensure product data, store attributes, and system parameters are updated accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Manage and import partner sales and stock files.
    • Report on stock availability and out of stocks, and take action to resolve issues.
  • Operational Execution & Follow-up
    • Support the team in execution of allocations and replenishment, including collating and proposing targets for min, max settings.
    • Collate feedback from store and regional teams for merchandisers to action.
    • Support and action price changes including during promotional periods.
  • General Admin & Team Support
    • Regional Liaison: Act as the first point of contact for routine stock queries from store teams, escalating only when necessary.
    • Meeting Preparation: Coordinate information for regional trade meetings and S&OP inputs by collating pre-read packs, distributing agendas, and taking clear, actionable notes.
    • Team Documentation: Maintain shared regional trackers, calendars, and documentation, ensuring the team stays organized during busy trading periods.

What you’ll bring

This role aligns with the competencies for a Junior (Level 1) role in our Head Office Capability Framework:

  • Connect & Empower: Communicates Effectively - You communicate clearly and respectfully across all channels (email, chat, meetings). You proactively share routine stock updates with store teams and ask clarifying questions to avoid errors, flagging potential stock or intake issues early to cross-functional partners.
  • Drive & Deliver: Workflow Management - You efficiently plan and organise daily administrative tasks, shared trackers, and meeting documentation. You understand task urgency, communicate progress proactively, and keep the team organised during critical planning deadlines and peak trade. Dives Deep - You bring an “accuracy-first” mindset to data integrity.
  • Grow & Adapt: Embraces Change - You adapt quickly when trade priorities or schedules shift. You bring a positive, “how can I help?” attitude to fast-paced trading periods, asking questions to gain clarity whenever ambiguity arises.
  • Master & Apply: Functional/Technical Expertise - You build foundational knowledge in merchandising systems and apply operational tools accurately to keep inventory data flowing smoothly.

Essential Requirements:

  • Strong Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, basic formulas) with comfort working across large datasets.
  • Previous support experience in a retail, merchandising, or supply chain environment (ideal).

To be successful at Monica Vinader, it helps if you…

  • Are hands-on, solutions-focused, and entrepreneurial.
  • Collaborate openly with humility, honesty, and humour.
  • Embrace learning, teaching, and personal growth.
  • Stay resilient, adaptable, and self-motivated in a creative environment.
  • Speak up when you don’t know – and act fast to figure it out.

  • Ability to document your authorisation to work in the United Kingdom.
