Who We Are: At Monica Vinader, we believe luxury should be empowering, long‑lasting and responsibly made. Guided by integrity, craftsmanship and innovation, our goal is to elevate people’s lives by opening access to a more beautiful world.

Overview: Senior Demand Planner is a senior individual contributor positioned at the heart of our commercial engine, responsible for range architecture, sales forecasting, stock investment, and in‑season trading actions across continuity and New Product Design (NPD) ranges.

What You’ll Do:

  • Key Responsibilities
    • Range Architecture & Planning: Build and maintain seasonal range plans for assigned product areas, balancing continuity bestsellers with NPD launches. Own line card management end-to-end: option counts, depth, pricing architecture, lifecycle and exit strategy. Partner with New Product Design and Development to size the opportunity for new launches, ensuring range plans are commercially grounded and aligned to brand intent.
    • Forecasting & OTB Management: Build bottom‑up sales forecasts by product area, channel and SKU, reflecting trade momentum, seasonality, marketing plans and NPD assumptions. Set and manage WSSI parameters (sales, stock, intake, markdown) and OTB across continuity and NPD. Plan repeat orders and intake phasing to maintain availability on key lines without overexposing the business.
    • In‑Season Trading & Inventory Health: Deliver weekly trade reporting with clear, actionable points: what is working, what is not, and what we are going to do about it. Identify winners to chase and underperformers to action; recommend repeats, rebalances, markdowns and exits. Protect inventory health: manage stock cover, terminal stock risk and markdown exposure across the assigned book. Lead seasonal promotional and markdown reviews, recommending depth, duration and product participation.
    • Hindsight & Strategic Input: Lead post‑season hindsight for assigned areas: sell‑through, margin, sizing, price architecture, NPD performance vs. plan. Translate hindsight into clear range plan insights for the NPD team, shaping the next season’s brief. Contribute to wider planning initiatives: tools, systems and ways of working that raise the standard of the function.
    • Cross‑Functional Partnership: Act as the trusted commercial counterpart to NPD, retail and web teams for assigned areas. Influence trading decisions clearly and confidently — using data to align stakeholders, not to win arguments. Work closely with NPD, Operations and Finance to ensure intake, supplier lead times and cash phasing reflect the plan.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Drive & Deliver: Dives Deep – rigorous use of trade and stock data; comfortable interrogating numbers and challenging assumptions. Focuses on the Right Thing – prioritises by commercial value and risk; protects the team from low‑value noise during peak trading. Delivers Results – sets ambitious but credible plans, owns the outcome, and takes accountability for inventory health and trade performance.
  • Master & Apply: Functional/Technical Expertise – deep merchandising and planning craft – WSSI, OTB, line cards, forecasting, markdown management; raises the standard for the team. Applies Knowledge with Impact – connects planning insight to commercial value, covering margin, sell‑through, cash and inventory.
  • Connect & Empower: Communicates Effectively – translates complex trade analysis into clear, confident recommendations for senior stakeholders and cross‑functional partners. Collaborates Proactively – builds strong, durable partnerships with NPD, Design and Brand Merchandising – and with Buying, Operations and Finance.
  • Grow & Adapt: Challenges & Commits – willing to push back on the plan when the data demands it; commits fully once the decision is made. Embraces Change – thrives in the ambiguity of NPD launches, new channels and evolving systems.

Experience & Skills:

  • Proven experience demand planning, merchandising or planning in a fast‑paced retail / consumer goods business.
  • Track record of owning a planning book end‑to‑end, including range architecture, forecasting, WSSI/OTB and in‑season trading.
  • Strong experience across both continuity and newly launched product, with a clear point of view on how each is planned.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, modelling, and confidence working across planning, ERP and BI systems.
  • Comfortable presenting weekly trade and seasonal hindsight to senior commercial audiences.
  • Experience working across DTC, retail and wholesale channels is a strong plus.
  • Experience in jewellery, fashion, accessories or premium lifestyle preferred but not essential.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to document your authorisation to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Travel Requirements: Regular travel to our Norfolk Office will be required (at least once per month).

To be successful at Monica Vinader, it helps if you…

  • Are hands‑on, solutions‑focused, and entrepreneurial.
  • Collaborate openly with humility, honesty and humour.
  • Embrace learning, teaching and personal growth.
  • Stay resilient, adaptable and self‑motivated in a creative environment.
  • Speak up when you don’t know – and act fast to figure it out.
