Reporting To: Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
- Manage the inbound quality team, ensuring supplier deliveries, customer returns and stock processing activities are completed accurately and within agreed service levels.
- Monitor daily workflow, productivity and quality performance to meet KPIs.
- Deploy labour and resources effectively to meet daily operational priorities.
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, stock accuracy and operational compliance across the shift.
- Collaborate with Operations Managers, fellow Team Leaders and cross‑functional departments to resolve quality issues, manage stock discrepancies and drive continuous improvement.
People Management
- Coach and develop direct reports to support growth, capability and performance.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, probation reviews and performance conversations with timely, constructive feedback.
- Recognise and celebrate successes to promote engagement and a positive culture.
- Manage attendance, performance and conduct matters in line with company policies.
- Lead onboarding and training of new starters, ensuring they have the tools and support to succeed.
- Lead by example, role‑modeling values, behaviours and ways of working.
- Create an inclusive, safe and supportive environment where team members feel empowered to contribute and make decisions.
- Work collaboratively with the Leadership Team and People & Culture to resolve people‑related matters and support development.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bring your passion for maintaining exceptional quality standards and a keen eye for detail to a warehouse setting where structured delivery drives commercial impact.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messages, drive clear two‑way communication and build strong relationships across teams.
- Demonstrated coaching ability and a commitment to developing high‑performing teams.
- Planning, organisation and coordination of inbound quality activities to ensure effective resource deployment.
- Analytical mindset: monitor performance, analyse data and use insights to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
- Adaptability and a proactive approach to changing priorities and operational demands.
- Relevant operational experience in a fast‑paced warehouse, logistics or fulfilment environment.
- Strong understanding of quality control processes, inventory control, health and safety requirements and operational best practices.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to document authorisation to work in the United Kingdom.
Travel Requirements
- Daily travel to the Acton site is required. Remote/hybrid working does not apply.
- Regular travel to the Norfolk / London office may be required.
