Where we need your help
The Health & Safety and Facilities Advisor role is an exciting and vital position within our Operations team, based at our London warehouse. You will play a key role in supporting the team’s understanding of their health and safety responsibilities, while also providing oversight of basic environmental considerations. In addition, you will take ownership of the physical workspace, managing facilities to ensure the warehouse remains a well maintained, compliant and efficient environment for the team to operate in.
What you’ll do
You’ll bring deep technical expertise and a proactive mindset to ensure our operations are safe, compliant, and efficient. Your role is a blend of hands‑on operational support, strategic policy development and cross‑functional influence.
Driving Safety Culture & Engagement
- Embed a strong safety culture that encourages proactive near miss reporting and ensures investigations are learning focused.
- Champion a ‘safety first’ mindset by influencing stakeholders at all levels to embed safety considerations into daily operational workflows.
- Move beyond compliance training to design and deliver engaging, high‑impact workshops and coaching that build genuine safety capability across managers and teams.
Proactive Risk Management & Facilities Oversight
- Provide clear guidance on risk management expectations, working with teams across the business to support effective and practical Safe Operational Procedure.
- Oversee Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules and reactive repairs to ensure the facility remains functional, safe and a great place to work.
- Manage on‑site contractors and service providers (e.g cleaning, security, maintenance etc), ensuring all work is conducted safely through robust permit‑to‑work systems and induction processes.
- Conduct rigorous, regular site audits and facilities walkthroughs, translating findings into actionable plans to improve building fabric, compliance and operational flow.
Strategy, Policy & Insight
- Develop and evolve practical H&S and Facilities policies that are commercially viable and scalable with business growth.
- Act as the subject matter expert on specialist infrastructure challenges (e.g fire strategy, COSHH, machinery safeguarding, waste management), ensuring equipment and space are inherently safe.
- Drive data‑informed decision‑making by producing impactful dashboards and metrics covering safety performance, facilities spend and project tracking.
- Facilitate cross‑functional HS&E collaboration forums (bridging Operations, Retail, & Head Office) to align strategy, share best practices and drive unified action.
- Manage relationships with external H&S advisors and specialist vendors to maximise value and ensure high service standards.
What you’ll bring
- NeBOSH General Certificate is required.
- Proven HS&E experience with a track record of building a safety culture through data‑driven insights and collaborative coaching.
- Strong communication, coaching and influencing skills.
- Pragmatic problem‑solving mentality with commercial awareness.

Additional Requirements
Authorisation to work in the United Kingdom.
Travel Requirements
Daily travel to the Acton site. Remote/hybrid working is not available. Regular travel to London / Norfolk offices may be required.
