The Senior DevOps Engineer will lead infrastructure, platform, and operational strategy for a FinTech scaleup. They will be key to the ability to ship features fast, maintain customer trust, and scale the platform.
The role involves:
- Scaling systems, internal tools, processes, and platform reliability teams.
- Building a world-class function to support rapid multi-product growth.
- Setting technical direction and standards for cloud, infrastructure, and deployment practices.
- Overseeing the design of CI/CD pipelines, cloud architecture, and automated deployments.
- Balancing technical debt, infrastructure investment, and commercial urgency.
- Identifying and removing bottlenecks that could slow delivery, velocity, or growth.
- Driving automation and monitoring across infrastructure, applications, and services.
- Collaborating with Engineering, Product, and Customer teams to align operational capability.
- Fostering a culture of ownership, low ego, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience of leading DevOps in a high-growth SaaS environment.
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
- Familiarity with containerisation, orchestration (Kubernetes/Docker), and CI/CD.
- A strong understanding of security, compliance, observability, and infrastructure as code.
- A track record of building automated, resilient, scalable systems under high-velocity conditions.
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to inspire high-performing teams.
