The AWS DevOps Engineer will work for a fast-growing software scale-up in the Thames Valley Corridor. The AWS DevOps Engineer will earn £75,000 per annum. The AWS DevOps Engineer will enjoy hybrid working on a 3+2 basis.
The AWS DevOps Engineer will be familiar with:
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Platform as a Service (PaaS)
- Function as a Service (FaaS)
The AWS DevOps Engineer will:
- Execute scripts in Python and Bash
- Identify defects in CI/CD pipelines
- Carry out regression testing and code and infrastructure changes
- Leverage configuration management tools like Chef, Ansible and Terraform
- Monitor system performance and reliability
- Ensure server-based deployments are robust and manageable
- Have a strong understanding of Agile methodologies
- Be familiar with virtualisation tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Have a firm understanding of black box testing
- Have experience of web-based applications
- Understand cloud security principles and best practice
- Be familiar with code release and deployment mechanisms
- Have used most version control systems e.g. Git
