The Back-End Developer will work for a fast-paced startup in Central London and enjoy hybrid working.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing and building robust server-side applications using .NET and C#.
- Implementing business-critical logic that performs heavy lifting at scale.
- Designing, querying and optimising SQL Server databases.
- Writing efficient stored procedures, views and complex queries.
- Developing and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Ensuring applications are performant, secure and resilient.
- Deploying and managing services within AWS environments.
- Working with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3 and Lambda.
- Implementing authentication and authorisation mechanisms.
- Ensuring adherence to cloud security best practices.
- Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks across application and database layers.
- Writing unit and integration tests.
- Participating in code reviews and architectural discussions.
- Being comfortable with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
- Using version control systems e.g. Git.
- Having a strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Monitoring logging, diagnostics and system health in production.
- Having an excellent understanding of back-end engineering principles.
