The Northern Europe Marketing Leader, covering UK, Nordics, and Benelux, will be responsible for driving adoption, pipeline, and revenue growth for MongoDB products through an integrated regional marketing plan. This leader will target enterprise accounts and specific verticals through strategic and scalable programs that fill the funnel and accelerate the sales cycle. The ideal candidate will bring a strong strategic mindset, operational excellence, and a proven track record of building and executing effective, data-driven regional marketing plans.

As a recognized leader, you’ll work cross-functionally with sales, and all marketing functions to create engaging programs that drive awareness, align with sales priorities, accelerate deal velocity, and improve conversion to customers. As a dynamic leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, you will balance strategic vision with hands-on execution, bringing order to complexity while managing teams and resources to meet ambitious objectives. Throughout, you’ll experiment with new approaches, measure results rigorously, and share insights across the marketing organization. This role reports directly to the VP of International Marketing within MongoDB's Marketing organization.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of regional, field marketing and/or account management/marketing experience in enterprise software, B2B SaaS, or technology companies
  • Proven team leadership skills with previous experience managing remote teams and a demonstrated ability to hire, coach, and mentor high-performing marketing professionals
  • Ability to effectively lead through transformation and change-management
  • Expertise in integrated marketing strategies, including ABM, demand generation, event marketing, digital, partner and content marketing
  • Strong proficiency with CRM and Marketing Automation systems (e.g., Salesforce, Eloqua, Jira, Terminus, or similar)
  • Growth mind-set, focused on outcomes, learnings, and quick-pivots that result in increased customer engagement, pipeline, and revenues
  • Exceptional analytical skills and a history of data-driven decision-making, with proven experience measuring ROI and showing results for marketing programs
  • Experience working cross-functionally with sales, customer success, Global Demand Centre, and product teams to design campaigns and drive outcomes
  • Executional excellence with a consistent ability to deliver on time, within budget, and aligned to organizational priorities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a history of delivering compelling presentations to senior executives and stakeholders
  • A strategic thinker who can balance broader company priorities with tactical execution, while adapting to changing circumstances with agility
  • High energy, creativity, and a positive, can-do attitude with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Position Expectations

  • Develop and lead Northern Europe regional marketing plans: Design and execute robust, scalable regional marketing programs to support account-based strategies, pipeline acceleration and revenue growth.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders: Collaborate with Global and EMEA marketing teams, GDC, partner marketing, and sales teams to build cohesive strategic plans that align with broader marketing objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to regional sales leadership by creating targeted initiatives that address regional challenges and sales priorities.
  • Lead the Northern Europe Regional Marketing Team: Manage, mentor, and empower a team of marketing professionals to deliver business results and grow their careers.
  • Drive strategic initiatives: Develop strategies to support the adoption and expansion of MongoDB across key accounts and personas, from developers to the C-suite, within specific verticals or regions.
  • Leverage data-driven insights: Use analytics and market research to identify opportunities, measure program effectiveness, and optimize activities for maximum ROI.
  • Ensure alignment across marketing programs: Partner with Global Demand Centre and other Global and EMEA functions to ensure strategies effectively integrate with the regional marketing plans and objectives.
  • Oversee flagship events and sponsorships that fall within the Northern Europe region.
  • Communicate across the organization: Regularly share plans, performance metrics, and program results with cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Manage the Northern Europe marketing budget: Ensure spending aligns with goals and track performance against key business objectives.
