MongoDB's Regional Marketing team is looking for a Senior Strategic Marketing Manager to join the organisation. This role is responsible for developing and executing Account-based marketing strategies with some of our largest and most strategic UK Accounts to drive growth and play a pivotal role in the company’s overall success. As a senior strategic marketing manager, you will be responsible for designing and implementing tailored marketing plans for an agreed set of assigned strategic accounts. Your programs will help drive awareness of MongoDB, identify and nurture new users and champions, uncover new opportunities, accelerate deal cycles, and expand MongoDB’s overall footprint in your accounts.

The role will also include responsibility for driving awareness and measurable acquisition lift within the startup and founder ecosystem in London, which is a very strategic focus area for the company. The successful candidate will help to drive incremental programs as we expand the MongoDB AI/digital native focused program into new markets. This position is for a marketing professional who is passionate about exploring new opportunities, crafting and executing innovative marketing strategies, driving measurable growth, and working cross‑functionally to create and scale impactful results. The role will report to the Marketing Lead, Northern Europe. We are looking for applications from innovative and well‑rounded marketing experts, based in the UK, to fit our hybrid working model.

What you will do:

  • Develop and execute strategic marketing plans: Work closely with account teams to uncover account‑specific challenges, understand decision‑making processes, and identify key personas, to drive the creation and execution of tailored marketing strategies and messaging that address the unique needs and interests of each account, unlock senior leadership and buying team engagement, and lead to growth opportunities.
  • Bring the marketing expertise: Act as a strategic marketing consultant to sales teams and clients, recommending tailored programs and tactics that align with both sales objectives and client needs.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams: Work closely with the broader marketing functions across partner marketing, customer marketing, demand generation and developer advocacy teams to ensure delivery of a holistic marketing strategy within each account that incorporates cross‑functional programs into ABM plans.
  • Sales alignment: Work closely with the sales team to align marketing efforts with sales goals, provide sales enablement resources, ensure tight collaboration & smooth handoff, and communicate/ educate the sales team regarding new and planned marketing activities including global, regional, and account specific programs.
  • Execute new market programs: Drive awareness and measurable acquisition lift within the startup and founder ecosystem by leading a cohesive community engagement strategy that spans founder networking events, AI builder hackathons, startup and VC sponsorships, ecosystem relationship development, and localized MongoDB for startups acquisition programs.
  • Engage with the startup community: Integrate key stakeholders into regional events and secure local speaking opportunities to amplify visibility, while actively upskilling and engaging AI, digital‑native, and startup communities.
  • Deliver strategic digital campaigns: Leverage intent signals to deploy targeted campaigns that nurture technical champions and strategically influence the broader buying committee.
  • Measure impact & optimize: Track performance metrics and ROI, ensuring processes are in place to evaluate the effectiveness of your programs, and apply insights to refine and optimize ABM campaigns for maximum impact.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Educational and Professional Background: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. 7+ years of account marketing, field marketing, industry marketing or sales experience. Tech industry experience preferred but not required. Experience working with large and complex enterprise accounts across multiple verticals ideally in financial services and telco, proven success record with accelerating and closing deals.
  • Skills and Expertise: Experience with strategic 1:1 or 1:few account‑based marketing, portfolio of experience will be reviewed. A strong understanding of acquisition‑focused marketing and campaign motions to help drive incremental programs in the AI/digital native community. Experience working with cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure), ISV, AI, and other tech partners. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience presenting to sales and marketing leadership, as well as customers. Impeccable event and project management skills, ensuring seamless planning, coordination, and delivery of initiatives with an ability to problem‑solve quickly. Results‑oriented and analytically skilled, capable of interpreting data, making informed data‑driven decisions, and reporting insights to the business.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Experience working cross‑functionally with enterprise or corporate sales, customer success teams, and account development teams, obsessing over addressable market and specific account goals. Capable of mentoring sales partners to convey marketing value propositions and key messages effectively.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with Google Workspace and Salesforce, and marketing technology tools like 6sense, Eloqua, Pathfactory, Sigma, Tableau.
  • Attributes and Work Style: Must be a highly self‑motivated, entrepreneurial professional who can excel in an autonomous work environment and proactively drive initiatives. Be a strategic thinker with a drive to bringing new ideas and creativity to the team. Ability to shift priorities as required in a growth technology company. Time management, prioritization, and organizational skills are key.
  • Additional Requirements: Travel may be required. Additional European languages.

Success Measures:

  • In 3 months you’ll have fostered a relationship with your Strategic Account teams (ex: sales, solution architects, field partner leads, customer success) to understand their top account priorities, begin planning marketing programs, and ramp on current account status and MongoDB product knowledge.
  • In 6 months you’ll have a clear understanding of your key objectives, have executed marketing activities with pipeline influence, and have started to become a trusted partner to your account stakeholders.
  • In 12 months you’ll have cemented yourself as a key account partner, be fully ramped and actioning against all account objectives.
