ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking to hire a talented Product Designer who can work autonomously within a well-disciplined, high-performing design team. The individual will use initiative and work proactively amidst the pace and ambiguity of everyday product development. The designer will be involved across the full product lifecycle, from problem framing and discovery through to delivery and iteration, ensuring customer needs are deeply understood and that solutions deliver clear user and business value.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- User Research, Insight and Decision-Making: Conduct and contribute to user research, market analysis, and competitive benchmarking to inform design decisions. Synthesise qualitative and quantitative data to frame problems, evaluate trade-offs, and support evidence-based decision-making. Partner with Product and Customer teams to ensure customer insight is consistently reflected in product direction.
- Concept Development and Experience Design: Collaborate with senior designers, product managers, and engineers to develop concepts aligned to user needs, technical constraints, and business goals. Design end-to-end user journeys across touchpoints including app, web, CRM, and operational experiences, not just individual screens. Contribute to future-state thinking and exploration where appropriate.
- Wireframing, Prototyping and Validation: Create low- to high-fidelity wireframes, flows, and interactive prototypes to explore, test, and validate design solutions. Use prototyping and experimentation to test assumptions and reduce risk early. Participate in usability testing and iterate designs based on feedback and measurable outcomes.
- Visual Design and Design Systems: Deliver high-quality, accessible, and on-brand visual designs aligned to established design standards. Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of enterprise-level design systems, ensuring consistency, scalability, and quality across products and platforms. Apply atomic and system-based thinking in design execution.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Influence: Work closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Marketing to ensure feasibility, clarity, and smooth implementation. Participate in and facilitate workshops that align teams around problems, opportunities, and user‑centred outcomes. Clearly articulate design rationale, trade-offs, and decisions to stakeholders.
- Design Quality, Accessibility and Inclusion: Design with accessibility and inclusion as a default, ensuring experiences meet relevant standards and serve diverse user needs. Contribute to raising overall design quality through critique, feedback, and shared best practices.
- Ways of Working, Tooling and AI: Use modern design tools effectively, including Figma and emerging AI‑enabled workflows, to improve efficiency and quality. Apply judgement in the use of AI for research synthesis, ideation, prototyping, and communication, aligned to team standards and governance. Continuously look for opportunities to simplify workflows and reduce low‑value process.
- Growth and Mentorship: Seek feedback and mentorship to continuously improve craft and impact. Support and mentor less experienced designers where appropriate, contributing to a healthy design culture.
