The Senior Compliance Manager – Risk & Assurance is responsible for delivering independent second-line oversight, assurance, and risk challenge across MoneyPlus Group. This role will support the organisation in identifying, assessing, monitoring, and escalating regulatory, operational, conduct, and customer outcome risks while assessing the effectiveness of systems, controls, governance arrangements, and operational oversight activity.
This role will lead assurance activity across key risk areas including Consumer Duty, complaints, vulnerable customers, operational controls, governance, quality assurance, operational resilience, and customer outcomes. The role also provides leadership and oversight to the Risk & Assurance Lead and supports the continued development of the Group’s assurance and risk management framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain oversight of regulatory, operational, conduct, and customer outcome risks across the Group.
- Deliver a structured second-line assurance plan aligned to business priorities, regulatory expectations, and emerging risks.
- Conduct thematic reviews, outcome testing, control assessments, and assurance activity across operational areas.
- Conduct assurance activity relating to financial promotions, customer communications, digital journeys, and customer understanding outcomes.
- Provide independent second-line oversight and challenge relating to Consumer Duty arrangements, customer outcomes, foreseeable harm risks, and outcome monitoring effectiveness.
- Perform independent oversight and assurance of introducer governance, due diligence, monitoring arrangements, and customer outcomes arising from third-party activities.
- Identify systemic themes, root causes, emerging risks, and foreseeable harm indicators arising from assurance activity.
- Consider emerging regulatory developments, FCA expectations, and external risks when developing assurance plans and thematic review activity.
- Produce assurance reporting, thematic insight, risk MI, and governance reporting for senior stakeholders and committees.
- Assess the adequacy, reliability, and effectiveness of management information and outcome monitoring arrangements.
- Support maintenance and development of risk frameworks, assurance methodologies, and oversight arrangements.
- Support oversight and governance of operational resilience, material incidents, third-party risks, breaches, complaints themes, and control failures.
- Monitor and track remediation actions arising from assurance reviews, incidents, complaints, or regulatory issues.
- Support escalation and governance of material risks, issues, and control weaknesses.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and oversight to assurance team members.
Qualifications:
- ICA Advanced Certificate in Regulatory Compliance, Risk, or Financial Crime desirable.
- ICA Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance desirable.
- Internal Audit, Risk Management, or Compliance qualification desirable.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and regulatory learning.
