Why do we need you? We are looking for a bright, curious, and resilient Lead QA Analyst to join our FCA-regulated debt management firm. This is a unique opportunity to shape and evolve our Quality Assurance framework, ensuring it not only meets regulatory expectations but also champions the needs of our customers. You will be a customer advocate at heart, with a deep understanding of the FCA’s Consumer Duty and its implications for delivering good outcomes. What do we need you to do?

  • QA Framework Leadership: Develop and continuously evolve a robust QA framework aligned with FCA regulations (including CONC, SYSC, and PRIN) and internal policies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure QA processes support compliance with FCA expectations, particularly around the quality of advice, transparency, customer vulnerability, and fair treatment.
  • Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and lead additional QA Officers. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and regulatory excellence.
  • Insight & Reporting: Analyse QA findings to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement. Present actionable insights to senior leadership and contribute to governance reporting.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Compliance, Operations, and Training teams to embed QA insights into business processes and customer journeys.
  • Challenge & Influence: Act as a critical friend to the business—confidently challenge existing practices and influence change to enhance customer outcomes and operational integrity.
  • Audit & Thematic Reviews: Support internal and external audits, thematic reviews, and regulatory visits by providing evidence of QA effectiveness and continuous improvement.

What skills and experience do we need you to have?

  • Proven experience in a QA or compliance role within an FCA-regulated debt management or financial services firm.
  • Strong knowledge of FCA rules and guidance, particularly CONC, SYSC, DISP, PRIN, and the Consumer Duty.
  • Demonstrated ability to build or enhance QA frameworks and lead QA teams.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to challenge constructively and drive change in a regulated environment.
  • Passionate about customer outcomes and experienced in working with vulnerable customers.
  • Resilient, inquisitive, and confident in challenging the status quo.
